Diplomático Distillery Collection No.2 Barbet Rum 2014 is a limited-edition rum from the Diplomático distillery in Venezuela. It is part of the Distillery Collection, which showcases Diplomático’s three distinctive distillation processes. The Barbet Column Still was brought from France to the Diplomático distillery in 1959, and in March 2014 it was used to produce this rum. Diplomático Distillery Collection No.2 Barbet Rum 2014 aged for 4 years in American white oak barrels that previously held bourbon and Scotch. The rum has well-balanced aromas of tropical fruit and toasted oak on the nose. The palate is slightly dry with delicate wood and fresh citrus flavours, leading to a pleasant and long-lasting finish.
