Dufftown 38 Years Old Cadenhead 1978 is a beautiful vintage single malt from the Dufftown distillery. The whisky was distilled in 1978 and matured in a bourbon hogshead for 38 years. It was bottled in spring 2017 at a cask strength of 44.6% for Cadenhead’s Authentic Collection. Cadenhead is the oldest independent bottler in Scotland. It was founded in 1842 and celebrates its 175th anniversary in 2017. The Dufftown distillery, located in the eponymous ‘Whisky Capital of the World’ Dufftown in Speyside, was founded in 1895. Dufftown is currently owned by Diageo and is one of the company’s largest distilleries. Only 180 bottles of Dufftown 38 Years Old Cadenhead 1978 were released.
