The Diamond Distillery, operated by Demerara Distillers, is the only rum distillery left in Guyana. The distillery is home to the last two functional wooden pot stills in the world, acquired from other distilleries when they closed. The historical Versailles still is over 250 years old. This single wooden pot still was constructed at the Versailles Estate, and operated at Enmore and Uitvlugt before moving to Diamond. It produces a highly flavorful and aromatic rum. El Dorado 12 Years Old Versailles Rum 2006 is a fine Demerara rum made with the Versailles still. It was distilled in 2006 and aged for 12 years in oak barrels, before being bottled in June 2018 at 40%.

Safe packing
