The Elements of Islay series from Elixir Distillers showcases the wide variety of flavours that Islay has to offer. Elements of Islay Ar11 Ardbeg is brought to you by cult favourite Ardbeg. The small batch single malt was distilled in 2000 and first matured for 12 years in American oak barrels, followed by 7 years in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry butts. It was then bottled in 2019 at a cask strength of 56.8%. Elements of Islay Ar11 Ardbeg features Ardbeg’s classic smokiness, complemented by bold sherry notes of spiced fruitcake, raisins, clove, dried blackcurrants and dark chocolate. Only 840 bottles have been released.
