Evan Williams 8 Years Old is an older bottling of Heaven Hill’s classic Evan Williams Black Label bourbon. It was bottled in 2000 at 86 proof, and exported for the Japanese market. The brand is named after the historic bourbon pioneer Evan Williams, who opened his distillery in Louisville in 1783. This is widely believed to have been Kentucky’s first distillery.
