Flóki Sheep Dung Smoked Reserve is a smoky Icelandic single malt from the Eimverk distillery. The whisky matured for 3 years in ex-Flóki young malt barrel #11, before being bottled in 2021 at 47%. The barley has been smoked following the traditional Icelandic method of using sheep dung. The whisky is named after Hrafna-Flóki Vilgerðarson, the Norseman who discovered Iceland. Eimverk is the first and only whisky distillery in Iceland. The family-operated distillery was founded in 2009. Eimverk hand-crafts its whiskies using only local ingredients, including 100% Icelandic barley. Besides single malt, the distillery also produces gin and Icelandic Brennivín.
