Bottled in the early years of the previous decade, this Four Roses 2011 Small Batch Limited Edition is an oldy in the range. 2011 marks the third year in the range, that started in 2008 as the Four Roses Mariage Collection. In 2010 the range was re-dubbed as the Small Batch Release. It has become an increasingly rare and a highly sought after release. Four Roses uses ten variations that stem from two mash bills: a 35% high rye (B) and a middling 20% rye (E). These are then combined with five strains of yeast. The result is a four letter recipe, like the popular recipe OESK (mash bill E, yeast K). This 2011 Limited Edition was made with 13 year OBSK, 13 year OESQ, 12 year OESV, and 11 year OESK.
