The Four Roses Small Batch Limited Edition is an event in itself. Releases of previous years will always leave a craving for more, so we can all rejoice that 2021 also welcomes a new release! This Four Roses Small Batch Limited Edition 2021 is non-chill filtered and bottled at a 114.2 proof. It features a 16-year-old bourbon from the Four Roses OBSV recipe, a 14-year-old OBSQ, a 12-year-old OESK, and a 16-year-old OESV, meaning that it aged for a whopping 12 years and over. There are ripe berries on the nose, next to light floral tones and rich, warm oak (that last bit is marketing lingo for ‘oak’). Plum, orange peels and spices on the palate, with vanilla cream and dark chocolate on the finish. These notes are a tease all by itself.
