The Foursquare distillery in Barbados was reopened in 1996 by the Seale family. Under the expert leadership of Richard Seale, the distillery has seen a range of magnificent releases including the Exceptional Cask Selection, introduced in 2008. Foursquare 10 Years Old Détente Exceptional Cask Selection is the 14th release in this series. It is a single blended rum, made from pot and column distillates and aged for 10 years in ex-bourbon and ex-port casks. It was then bottled at 51% ABV and released in August 2020.

Safe packing
