While the Foursquare distillery is fairly new, having only been opened in the mid 1990s, the Seale family, who founded Foursquare, can trace their rum-making heritage back to 1820. For five generations they’ve been in the rum game, running one of Barbados’ oldest rum trading houses and more recently the Foursquare brand. Foursquare 15 Years Old The Colours Of Rum Edition 16 2006 was bottled up by the independent bottlers Wealth Solutions. This bottler was founded in 2021 and this rum is from their ‘The Colours of Rum’ series. The colours of each bottle are inspired by the flag of the country that the rum is from, which makes for a bright collection of rums! This rum was aged for 14 years in the tropics in an American White Oak barrel and an ex-bourbon barrel. It is a single cask cask bottling, bottled at cask strength on only yielding 264 bottles. There’s not a lot of this rum to go around so it will surely be snapped up fast!
