This rare single malt from a mysterious Speyside distillery is rumored to have been distilled at Glenfarclas. ‘Glen Avon’ is a reference to the River Avon that runs through the Strathspey region. Glen Avon Gordon & Macphail 1953-2004 matured for half a century, before Gordon & MacPhail bottled it up in 2004. The whisky has a fruity nose with hints of toffee apples and spice. The palate brings rich fruits with toasted, malty flavours and a long-lasting finish.
