Glen Moray used to brew ale before they saw the light and switched to whisky production back in 1897. In 1923 the distillery was bought out by Macdonald & Muir, who later became the owners of Glenmorangie. Thanks to a number of independent bottlings over the years we’ve been able to sample just what Glen Moray is capable of. The Old Train Line brand is a bottling by Jack Wiebers Whisky World, a respected German retailer who has been in the bottling game for quite a while now. Glen Moray 20 Years Old 1996 Jack Wieber Old Train Line was distilled back in 1996 and aged for 20 years in a bourbon cask before being bottled up in this strictly limited release. Grab it quickly before the train leaves the station.
