The second release of Glenallachie’s 10-year-old cask strength single malt. The whisky matured for 10 years in a combination of Oloroso sherry, Pedro Ximénez sherry, first-fill bourbon and virgin oak casks. It was bottled in September 2018 at a cask strength of 54.8% ABV. Glenallachie rose to fame just a few years ago, when the distillery and its remaining stock were bought by the GlenAllachie Consortium, led by whisky entrepreneur Billy Walker. Walker, who previously formed the BenRiach Distillery Company, breathed new life into the overlooked distillery and created some fantastic new releases.
