Glenallachie 10 Years Old Chieftain’s Corton Red Wine Finish 2006 is a limited-edition single malt, bottled by Ian Macleod as part of the Chieftain’s range. The whisky was distilled in May 2006 and matured for over 10 years. It was finished in a cask that previously held Corton red wine, and bottled in May 2017 at 43%. Glenallachie was founded in 1967 following the Scotch whisky boom in the United States. Until recently, the majority of the distillery’s production was used in blends. Master Distiller Billy Walker took over in October 2017 and breathed new life into the distillery. One of 329 bottles.
