A 12-year-old single malt from Glenallachie, bottled by renowned independent bottler Cadenhead for their 2020 Annual Shop Release series. The whisky was distilled in 2007 and matured in a sherry butt for 12 years. In 2020 it was bottled at a cask strength of 61.7%, specially for Cadenhead’s Whisky Shop in Berlin. Only 606 bottles of Glenallachie 12 Years Old Cadenhead’s Shop Berlin have been released. The label displays the shop that you definetely need to visit when in Berlin. The GlenAllachie distillery was founded in 1967 and had a turbulent history in its relatively short existence: in 1985, Invergordon Distillers acquired the distillery and closed it only two years later. Campbell Distillers bought GlenAllachie in 1989 and restarted production. In 2017, the distillery was sold to The GlenAllachie Consortium led by Master Distiller Billy Walker, who breathed new life into the distillery.
