Glenallachie 23 Years Old Chieftain’s 1995 is a limited-edition Glenallachie single malt, bottled by Ian Macleod for the Chieftain’s range. The whisky was distilled in November 1995 and matured for 23 years. It was finished in white wine cask #95161, and bottled in May 2019 at 54.6%. The Glenallachie distillery was founded in 1967 by Mackinlay McPherson. It was sold to Invergordon Distillers in 1985, who mothballed the distillery only two years later. Campbell Distillers took over in 1989 and restarted production. In 2017, the distillery was sold to The GlenAllachie Consortium led by Master Distiller Billy Walker. Only 206 bottles of Glenallachie 23 Years Old Chieftain’s 1995 have been released.
