The Glenallachie distillery was founded in 1967 by Mackinlay McPherson. It was sold to Invergordon Distillers in 1985, who mothballed the distillery only two years later. Campbell Distillers took over in 1989 and restarted production. In 2017, the distillery was sold to The GlenAllachie Consortium led by Master Distiller Billy Walker. While it mainly produces whisky for blends, under Billy Walker’s leadership Glenallachie has created a new core range and limited releases. Only 298 bottles of Glenallachie 30 Years Old 1990 Single Cask have been released. A single cask whisky from the Speyside distillery Glenallachie. The whisky was distilled on 23 February 1990 and matured in Madeira barrel #3605 for 30 years. It was bottled in March 2020 at 56%.
