Glenburgie 30 Years Old Gordon & MacPhail 1988 is a very limited-edition Glenburgie single cask malt, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for the Connoisseurs Choice range. The whisky was distilled on 27 January 1988 and matured in refill American hogshead #1082 for 30 years. It was bottled on 3 July 2018 at a cask strength of 50.4%. Glenburgie was founded in 1810 as the Kilnflat Distillery. It closed in 1870 after financial troubles, but reopened eight years later under the name Glenburgie-Glenlivet. The distillery was in the hands of the Canadian company Hiram Walker for most of the 20th century. Hiram Walker was bought by Allied Lyons in 1987, which in turn was acquired by Pernod Ricard in 2005. Only 96 bottles of Glenburgie 30 Years Old Gordon & MacPhail 1988 have been released.
