Glendronach 15 Years Old 100% Sherry Cask Matured is an older and hard to find single malt whisky distilled at the Glendronach distillery. It aged for 15 years in sherry casks, and is bottled at 40%. On the nose, you’ll find the sherry influence followed by deep spice and smoke aromas. The whisky is full-bodied and velvety. It is rich and complex on the palate with lingering flavours of sherry, malt, oak and smoke, leading to a long, warming finish. Glendronach was founded in 1826 by a local farmer consortium led by James Allardes. It was the second legal distillery in Scotland after the Excise Act of 1823 was passed. Glendronach is currently in the hands of the American giant Brown-Forman, who acquired the distillery in 2016 in a deal that also included BenRiach and Glenglassaugh.
