Glendronach sits in the Valley of Forgue up in the East Highland Hills, where for almost 200 years they have been perfecting the art of sherry cask maturation. When the distillery was founded in 1826 all the workers used to live on site. So, as well as the usual distillery buildings, there are a number of fine Georgian buildings on the site. One is even said to be haunted by a Spanish Lady that sailed over to Scotland in a sherry cask. We suppose she heard how good the whisky at Glendronach was and wanted to try it for herself. Glendronach 26 Years Old 1994 Cask #4363 is part of the Cask Bottling range. These are one-off bottlings taken from single casks selected by the Master Blender and represent the very finest whiskies on offer from Glendronach. Glendronach 26 Years Old 1994 Cask #4363 is bottled at cask strength and has a nose of walnut, ginger, oak and tobacco. The palate has dark fruits and soft spices with almonds while the finish displays citrus, plums and wax.
