Back when Glenfarclas 105 was introduced in 1968, it was the first cask strength single malt on the market. A 60% ABV (105 proof in the old British system) whisky was revolutionary, standing in stark contrast to the standard 40% ABV. Glenfarclas 16 Years Old 105 Cask Strength is a rare age-stated edition that was matured in sherry casks for longer than the standard Glenfarclas 105 expression. Even with its impressive strength, the single malt is rich, full-bodied and unbelievably smooth, with classic notes of sherry, butterscotch and warming spice.
