This wonderful, splendid, limited and other superlatives Glenfarclas single malt whisky was distilled on 17 January 1968. It matured for 32 years and was bottled on 28 July 2000 at 43% ABV. The Speyside distillery Glenfarclas started production somewhere in the late 18th century. It received a license in 1836, when it was run by Robert Hay. After his death in 1865, the distillery was sold to John Grant and his son George. More than 150 years later Glenfarclas is still in the hands of the Grant family, making it one of the last truly independent distilleries left in Scotland. Only 1246 bottles of Glenfarclas 32 Years Old 1968 have been released.
