The single malt matured in European sherry butts and American bourbon barrels, adding rich fruit flavours and soft vanilla respectively. This complex dram has a sweet, oaky aroma with hints of lime marmalade and luscious dried fruits. The palate is velvety smooth with rounded vanilla sweetness, caramelised Demerara sugar and toasted almonds. Spicy hints of cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg and clove develop over time. The finish is sweet with a lingering spiciness.
