Glenmorangie Port Wood is a discontinued bottling from the Glenmorangie distillery. The expression was introduced in 1994 and recently replaced by Quinta Ruban. The whisky initially matured in American oak for 12 years and was finished in port-seasoned pipes. Glenmorangie Port Wood was distilled by the original Sixteen Men of Tain, the staff of 16 responsible for the distilling process. After an expansion in 2008 there is now a staff of 24, simply referred to as ‘The Men of Tain’.
