Since 1895, renowned independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail has worked with the majority of Scottish distilleries to release fine single malts. At a time when the bulk of a distillery’s output was intended for blends, Gordon & MacPhail would produce the only licensed bottlings. As a result of these long-standing and unique relationships, Gordon & MacPhail is now in the possession of some impressively aged casks from distilleries all over Scotland. Glentauchers Gordon & MacPhail 1994-2012 was distilled in 1994 and matured in sherry butts and refill American hogsheads, before being bottled in 2012 at 43%. The single malt is initially sweet with pear, cinnamon and cardamom notes developing. The palate has chilli spice with sweet summer berries and a creamy milk chocolate edge. The bottle sports a lovely old school label.

Safe packing
