Haig Blended Scotch Whisky is a vintage blended whisky, produced by John Haig & Co. Ltd. The whisky was bottled in the 1960s at 43% and exported for the German market. The bottle comes with the original cardboard box. The legendary distilling company John Haig & Co. Ltd. was established by John Haig in 1824, the same year he founded the grain distillery Cameronbridge. John Haig & Co. was one of the founding members of the Scotch Distillers Association in 1865—this would later become the spirits giant Diageo. Between the 1930s and the 1970s, Haig’s Gold Label blend was one of the best selling whiskies in the UK. Haig is the oldest whisky dynasty in Scotland. The family history goes back to the 13th century, while the first record of whisky distillation comes from the 17th century.
