A single cask rum from the Hampden Estate in Jamaica. It was distilled in 2012 and matured for 8 years in cask #662 before being bottled in 2020 at 59.9%. The release is part of The Trelawny Endemic Birds Series, which pays tribute to Jamaica’s native birds. This bottle shows the Jamaican blackbird. Only 250 bottles of Hampden 8 Years Old Black Bird 2020 Single Cask 662 were released exclusively for France. The Hampden Estate, established in 1753, is one of Jamaica’s oldest distilleries. For over 250 years the rum was only bottled by independent bottlers, but after the company was bought by Everglades Farms Ltd. in 2009 the distillery started releasing official bottlings.
