Hampden 8 Years Old Chestnut Bellied Cuckoo 2020 Single Cask 667 is a single cask rum from the Hampden Estate in Trelawny, Jamaica. It was distilled in 2012 and matured for 8 years in cask #667 before being bottled in 2020 at 61.7%. The rum is part of The Trelawny Endemic Birds Series, which pays homage to the rare birds native to the Cockpit Valley. This bottle shows the Chestnut Bellied Cuckoo. Only 250 bottles of Hampden 8 Years Old Chestnut Bellied Cuckoo 2020 Single Cask 667 have been released. The Hampden Estate is one of the oldest distilleries in Jamaica. It was founded in 1753 by the Scotsman Archibald Stirling and remained family-owned for 250 years. After financial troubles in the early 2000s, the distillery was sold to Everglades Farms Ltd., who released the distillery’s first official bottling in 2018.
