Hampden 10 Years Old Elaenia Cask #501 is a single cask rum from the Hampden Estate, one of the few Jamaican distilleries still in operation. It was distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2020 at 61.9%. The release is part of the Trelawny Endemic Birds Series, portraying some of Jamaica’s rare native birds. This bottle features the Elaenia, a small flycatcher that lives in the woodlands. Only 260 bottles of Hampden 10 Years Old Elaenia Cask #501 have been released. The Hampden Estate, established in 1753, is one of Jamaica’s oldest distilleries. For over 250 years the rum was only bottled by independent bottlers, but after the company was bought by Everglades Farms Ltd. in 2009 the distillery started releasing official bottlings.
