The world of rum is a diverse one. The Colours of Rum series pays tribute to this diversity with a wide range of rums from distilleries such as Foursquare, Caroni, Long Pond and Clarendon. From an undisclosed distillery in Jamaica comes the HD 23 Years Old The Colours Of Rum Edition 7 1998. This mystery rum carries the HLCF marque, which (completely coincidentally, of course) stands for Hampden Light Continental Flavoured. It was distilled in a pot still and matured in an ex-rum barrel in Europe for 23 years. The result is a wonderful rum with that characteristic Jamaican funk and complexity, and flavours of painted wood, pineapple, chocolate, coconut and mango.
