About 10% of Springbank’s annual production goes into Hazelburn. The distillery began producing this triple distilled, unpeated whisky in 1997, and in 2005 the first Hazelburn single malt was introduced. It has since become one of Springbank’s three mainstay brands. Hazelburn 13 Years Old Oloroso Cask Matured 2004 has been 100% matured in fresh and refill Oloroso sherry casks, resulting in a complex and full-bodied dram with notes of orange zest, dark chocolate, sticky toffee, marzipan and cinnamon. Just 9000 bottles were filled in April 2018 at 47.4%.
