Hazelburn 21 Years Old 2022

Hazelburn 21 Years Old 2022 is the oldest expression in the Hazelburn range. Springbank began distilling the triple distilled and unpeated single malt in 1997, and first released it in 2005. The 2022 release matured in a combination of 70% sherry and 30% bourbon casks, and is bottled at 46%. The result is a robust yet delicate dram, with bold aromas of caramel, treacle and sticky toffee pudding. Creamy chocolate liqueur and hints of ginger add to the punchy nose. Notes of creamy marzipan, prunes and choux pastry are balanced with a bitterness reminiscent of dark chocolate. A creamy mouthfeel with hints of sandalwood and liquorice round off this dram. Hazelburn 21 Years Old 2022 saw a limited release of 3600 bottles.
