This 2009 Heaven Hill Archives No 19 (10 Years Old) from the famous Heaven Hill distillery was partially matured in Europe. It first spent six years in a single barrel in Kentucky before being sent to Scotland, where it matured for another four years. Usually these whiskeys are only released for the European market, but in collaboration with the Californian company K&L Wine Merchants, this special bourbon is now also available in the United States. Archives is the bottling company from the team behind Whiskybase. Their USA releases all feature American butterflies on the bottle, in the case of this Heaven Hill Archives No 19 (10 Years Old) the Papilio Cydippe, also known as the Eastern Red Lacewing.
