Henry McKenna Hand Made Kentucky Whiskey is a vintage bottle of Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey, bottled at 86 proof and exported for the Italian market. The Henry McKenna brand was created in 1855, when the Irish immigrant Henry McKenna established a distillery on his farm in Fairfield, Nelson County. By 1880, his whiskey was in such high demand that he had to build a new brick distillery with a larger capacity. By the 1890s, the whiskey was sold throughout the United States. Bourbon’s decline in the 1960s forced the distillery to eventually close in 1974.
