A 28-year-old single malt from the Highland Park distillery on Orkney, bottled for Cadenhead’s 2020 Annual Shop Release. The whisky was distilled in 1992 and spent 28 years in a sherry butt. In 2020 it was bottled at a cask strength of 58.7% by Cadenhead for their Whisky Shop in Milan. Nicely done, Italy! You don’t see independently bottled Highland Park often (it’s often marked as ‘from an Orkney Distillery – lol), but the Italians are worthy of the name. Only 396 bottles of Highland Park 28 Years Old Cadenhead’s Shop Milan were released. Did you know that Highland Park is the most northerly-located Scotch distillery in the world? It was founded at the end of the 18th century on the Orkney Islands, north of the Scottish mainland.
