In the eight century, the Vikings began to colonise Orkney. The islands soon became a vital link in their western sea routes, and the Scandinavian influence can still be felt here today. The Highland Park distillery was established in 1798, in Orkney’s capital of Kirkwall, originally an important Norse harbour town. Highland Park’s limited-edition Viking Collection celebrates this unique heritage. The sword was an important symbol in Viking culture. Each would be given a name and was handed down from father to son. Distilled in 1997, and bottled in 2010, exclusively for the Taiwanese market. The bottle comes in in the original tube.
