The brand is mainly known for their amazing older bourbons, like the Hirsch 16YO Red Wax edition, that was sold in the 1990s after it was rediscovered in stainless steel tanks. Only 120 barrels have been produced for this Hirsch Selection 20 Years Old Special Reserve. The spirit was laid to rest in 1987 and bottled 20 years later. It aged in re-used barrels, so this American whiskey can not be called bourbon. Rules are rules.
