I.W. Harper President’s Reserve is a premium Kentucky bourbon, produced at the Bernheim distillery in Louisville and bottled at 86 proof. The glass decanter is closed off with a wax seal and comes with an elegant glass stopper. The I.W. Harper brand was created in 1879 by German immigrants Isaac and Bernard Bernheim. ‘I.W.’ were Isaac’s initials, but the brothers decided to choose a more American surname for the brand. In the 1980s, Schenley decided to discontinue I.W. Harper for the domestic market, and for over 30 years the bourbon was produced solely for the Japanese market.
