Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu Belgium Exclusive 2024 is a rare single cask Japanese whisky from Chichibu, released exclusively for Belgian importer The Nectar. The single malt was distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2024 at 64.7%. The label is inspired by the work of Belgian surrealist painter René Magritte and features a samurai wearing the artist’s iconic bowler hat. The Chichibu distillery, founded by Ichiro Akuto, began production in February 2008. It was the first new distillery in Japan since 1973, when Suntory opened Hakushu. Chichibu is located about 70 kilometres northwest of Tokyo. The local climate, with humid summers and cold winters, provides excellent conditions for maturing whisky. Only 258 bottles of Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu Belgium Exclusive 2024 have been released.
