Chichibu is back with their highly-anticipated Paris Edition, bottled exclusively for La Maison du Whisky. This year, the Japanese distillery pays homage to France through a series of artworks that links the two countries. Each bottle features a lithograph by art nouveau painter Henri Rivière. His Thirty-six Views of the Eiffel Tower, published in 1902, were inspired by Hokusai’s famous Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji. Ichiro’s Malt Chichibu Paris Edition 2022 is crafted from a blend of Chichibu mostly aged in ex-bourbon barrels, and peated Chichibu whose age varies between six and seven years. The single malt is smooth and balanced with sweet honey, peat smoke, chocolate, spices and baked apple. The 36 different labels are divided over the 1900 bottles of this release. This bottle features Plate 36, Le Peintre Dans La Tour.
