Imperial 25 Years Old Signatory Vintage 1995 is a single cask whisky from the closed Imperial distillery, bottled by Signatory Vintage specially for the German whisky importer Kirsch Import. The whisky was distilled on 18 September 1995 and matured in bourbon hogshead #50272 for 25 years. It was bottled on 20 October 2020 at a cask strength of 56.9%. The Imperial distillery never really managed to gain ground in its hundred-year existence. It was founded in 1897 and was mothballed for a total of 56 years. When the demand for single malt whisky increased in the early 1990s, the Imperial distillery was already on its way to permanent closure. In recent years, independent bottlings of Imperial single malt have become highly sought-after, finally giving the distillery some well-deserved appreciation. Only 185 bottles of Imperial 25 Years Old Signatory Vintage 1995 have been released.
