Invergordon 39 Years Old Duncan Taylor Rare Auld 1965 is a rare single grain whisky from Invergordon, bottled by Duncan Taylor as part of the Rare Auld range. The whisky was distilled all the way back in December 1965, and matured for 39 years in bourbon cask #15509. It was bottled in September 2005 at a cask strength of 48.2%. Invergordon is the most northerly grain whisky distillery in Scotland, located hundreds of miles north of the grain distilleries in the Scottish Lowlands. It was founded in 1960 and has been part of Whyte & Mackay since 1993. Invergordon has the capacity to produce a staggering 40,000,000 litres of whisky per year, which is largely used in blends. Only 255 bottles of Invergordon 39 Years Old Duncan Taylor Rare Auld 1965 have been released.
