A limited-edition single grain whisky from the Invergordon distillery, bottled by Elixir Distillers for The Whisky Trail Jazz Series. The whisky was distilled in 1974 and matured in hogshead #38 for 44 years. It was bottled in 2019 at 47.6% ABV. Invergordon was founded in 1960. It is the most northerly grain whisky distillery in Scotland, located hundreds of miles north of the grain distilleries in the Scottish Lowlands. Since 1993, the distillery has been in the hands of Whyte & Mackay. Invergordon has the capacity to produce a staggering 40,000,000 liters of whisky per year, but since most of it is used in blends, single grain bottlings are rare. Only 168 bottles of Invergordon 44 Years Old The Whisky Trail Jazz Series Vol. 2 have been released.
