Invergordon 50 Years Old TBWC Batch 21 is a single grain whisky from the Invergordon distillery, bottled by That Boutique-y Whisky Company. Batch 21 matured for 50 (!) years and was bottled in 2021 at 47.5%. The label features a very scientific diagram explaining how a Coffey still is used to make the finest whis- wait, that can’t be right. Oh. Wrong coffee. Invergordon was founded in 1960. It is the most northerly grain whisky distillery in Scotland, located hundreds of miles north of the grain distilleries in the Scottish Lowlands. Since 1993, the distillery has been in the hands of Whyte & Mackay. Invergordon has the capacity to produce a staggering 40,000,000 litres of whisky per year, but since most of it is used in blends, single grain bottlings are rare. Only 328 bottles of Invergordon 50 Years Old TBWC Batch 21 have been released.
