For the 65th anniversary of French whisky importer La Maison du Whisky, the Tennessee distillery released several special single barrel bottlings. This release is nicknamed Flavorful & Balanced, and was bottled in 2021 at a barrel strength of 64.5%. Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel LMDW 65th Anniversary Flavorful & Balanced is a nuanced and well-balanced whiskey. The nose is delicate with initial aromas of mango, apricot, heather honey, orange and vanilla, followed by cocoa powder, green liquorice, burnt wood, clove and curry. The palate is lively with flavours of exotic fruits and red fruits on a mineral backdrop. You’ll then find notes of vanilla, praline, tobacco, apricot, walnut and sweet corn. The finish is long and creamy with hints of raspberry, quince, vanilla and maple syrup.
