An old bottling of Johnny Drum 12 Years Old, produced by Kentucky Bourbon Distillers (Willett) and sourced from an undisclosed distillery, most likely Heaven Hill. The bourbon was bottled in the 1990s at 86 proof. There is a legendary story behind the brand’s name: Johnny Drum was a boy from Kentucky who wanted to fight in the American Civil War. Because he was too young, he was made a drummer boy in the army instead. After the war, he returned home and started distilling whiskey. His determination led to the creation of an exceptional bourbon.
