This is very, very cool stuff. A USA only release, cask strength Japanese whisky from independent bottler Kaiyō, that is known for using only the very best Mizunara oak barrels. The founder of Kaiyō is skilled in buying quality teaspooned barrels from Japanese distilleries (teaspooning whisky means that the distiller adds a teaspoon of another whisky to their own cask, ensuring that a private bottler can never claim to have bought a cask of single malt whisky. Fun fact!). After purchasing a teaspooned cask, Kaiyō then matures the single malt in their mizunara wood barrels. Interesting whisky? Hell yeah! Musthave.
