Karukera 7 Year Old Single Cask 2014 is a single cask rhum vieux agricole (made from pure sugarcane juice) from Karukera in Guadeloupe, specially selected for La Maison du Whisky. The rhum was distilled in 2014 and matured for 7 years in a cask that previously held sherry brandy from Andalusia. It was bottled in 2022 at a cask strength of 61.8%. The result is a unique Karukera with delicious warm and fruity notes. The nose is fresh and lively with aromas of orange zest, apricot, ginger and liquorice. On the palate you’ll find rich fruity notes of orange and mango, balanced by hints of turmeric, ginger and eucalyptus. The finish is long and fruity on marmalade, apricot, banana and pineapple.
