Kentucky Beau 6 Years Old is an awesome vintage bourbon, produced in the 1970s or 1980s for the Spanish market. Kentucky Beau was originally made at the Medley distillery in Owensboro. The Medley family has a long history of producing premium bourbon, tracing back to about 1800. The family business moved to Owensboro in 1901, which is where the Medley Brothers established the Medley Distilling Company after the end of Prohibition and rebuilt the Medley brand. The Medley distillery changed ownership several times in the 1970s and 1980s, and ultimately closed in 1992. The majority of its brands were then taken over by Sazerac.
