Kentucky Owl St. Patrick’s Edition, is a limited release of Kentucky Owl bourbon for St. Patrick’s Day. It celebrates the long-standing connection between American and Irish whiskey makers. For this expression, Kentucky Owl’s master blender John Rhea teamed up with Irish whiskey bonder Louise McGuane, founder of J.J. Corry Irish Whiskey. The pair selected casks aged between 4 and 8 years, each bringing their own unique flavor characteristics. Rare well-aged bourbons add notes of rich caramel and vanilla, while bourbons with a higher rye content bring spice and fruit. Whereas wheated bourbons produce sweet and citrusy notes. The result is a robust and well-balanced bourbon with aromas of sweet caramel, honey and spice on the nose. The palate offers notes of caramel, butterscotch, chocolate, orange, candy floss, citrus peel and bright forest fruits. The finish is long with lingering vanilla pods and wood influence.
